I rather think you add information as it is revealed. Given that WataMote purposely reveals information over time--like names of characters such as this--then you update the information when new information becomes available.
The other individual seems to disagree.
Despite his protest, he has not opened a discussion in either Talk or her article Commentary for some reason.
Thanks, this is going to seem like a stupid question, but those are scans from the actual releases rather than something posted? The reason I ask is the dates at the end for the next issue suggest reversal and pretty much every "fan sub" changes those chapter marks.
Unfortunately, I cannot confirm the last pages of each in Japanese--my Google-Fu is weak on that point.
Wondering if it was a weird thing where the were either published out of order or bound out of order.
Hey, I tried something and I'd like your opinion as well before I feel comfortable about it. The upper bar, specifically under media has the tab "Manga Volumes". Well, I decided to change where the link will redirect the user. Originally it would direct you to the category page "Volumes", however, I created a new page titled "List of WataMote Volumes" and on it remains a list with each volume, revealing basic information such as release dates (JAP/ENG) as well as ISBN numbers, chapters, Cover images, etc. It's similar to most other wikia's in terms of appearance and convenience, though I didn't really know how to make a template out of it so I simply used a table. That is one of many reasons as to why I locked the page for all users other than staff, I feel like it would be a prime suspect to misedits, and you seem active daily so certainly it wouldn't go unchecked.
It's not complete yet, and I'm still thinking of a few things, for example: I'm probably going to add something at the bottom such as "Chapters not yet in Tankōbon format", also I need to fix the situation with ISBN numbers. Not sure what to do with the foot note section, maybe a brief sentence or two summary / description per volume? I'd like to hear what your thoughts on the matter are.
Finally, I'll probably end up doing a little something for the chapter pages when I figure out exactly how to do it, so expect some messing around from me within the next 24-48 hours. While I'm on a roll, since this site has the TomoMote manga here, is there any reason not to have the WataMote Anthology in a seperate 1 or 2 page space on this wikia? This is just a question for completionists sake, though not sure if it's suitable or not. I probably have more to ask or tell, but this is all I can muster atm, so please do get back to me.
Hey, I was wondering if you knew whether or not the series ever explicitly said which city she lived in or which middle school / highschool she went to. I mostly want to know the city and high school if available because I plan on shortly uploading my own little project from which I'm creating my own fan drawn chapters for watamote, and those two/three things would be useful, however, if not then it isn't a big deal.
I think they are in Chiba and the name of Tomoko's high school might be Makuhari. A while ago, I made a response to someone asking about Ki's prefecture. This is what I wrote:
"I think Ki lives in Chiba. Tomoko goes to Makuhari High School and is within walking distance to a beach with the same name, both of which are in the Chiba Prefecture. In chapter 62, Tomoko biked only 20km out before her mother picked her up by car so that leads me to believe that they are in the same prefecture."
If you google the Makuhari high, you can also see that it looks like the drawings in the manga.
Also in chapter 35, page 3, there's also confirmation. Of course, that's assuming the translations are correct.
There has been something that's irritated me ever so slightly since I had first discovered this place: the chapter pages. I'm not sure if I'm just strange and need everything to look proper, though the past few months we added the bulk of missing content here so I guess the gritty details are all that remain, however, I was thinking about a template for those pages. Specifically, one of which the cover page image resides within, below it has the information, ex: First row could be the titles, second row could be the chapter name, third the publication date, fourth row could host both volume followed by the chapter, and fifth row can have the previous and following chapter redirection links. I still don't know how to create templates despite visiting those pages in the central site, but even if I could, I'd still run this through with you. Any thoughts? Changes? Or
Yes, I’ve wanted templates for the chapter pages too. I don’t know how to make them either and haven’t gotten around to reading up on that. I want to dedicate some time to it next week or the week after. In regards to the info on the rows, I think the title (ex: WataMote Chapter xxx) would be above the image, like the templates in the character pages, so we don’t need row 1. For the 4th row, I don’t think we need the chapter, since the tittle would list it, so just have the volume there. Aside from that, everything else is good. What do you think? Do you agree with the changes?
Edit: I forgot. The chapters have different page counts. Do you want to include that too? If so, I imagine it would go below the Volume row.
Personally, though it is a primarily English site as most Wikia's are, I'd still like to maintain a certain level of accuracy. Even if it is otherwise difficult for someone to be aware of certain things due to something such as the conversion to another language, if it exists than it might as well be placed here. This is a hub of knowledge based around the product not it's individual versions, though I'm sure you know that.
Your guess is probably accurate, countless series have varied page counts that differ from other language editions. It's not worth breaking the hours of the night to find, but hopefully if those changes exist, they may be added at some point. So I guess it's not too important right now.
Also, are you capable of creating such a template? If so, you're aforementioned idea would work. Since it's going to be a testing period, why not make an empty page for testing the template on, and link it from on your profile. (So we can view it without confusing random people)
And sorry for being late on this, I literally just woke up recently and my notifications weren't alerting me for some reason.
I’m under the impression that the page count is the same. There are special segments aside from the omake and, uh, other specials. Those only come out as extras when the volume is available for purchase (I think), but I wouldn’t consider that as part of a chapter so it doesn’t add to page count.
Yes, if I get around to making the template, I will post a mock-up here and get suggestions. It was the same process when we were making the manga and anime navigation.
